Dr. Hummira Abawi
Dr. Hummira Abawi, DPM, FACFAS, ABPM is a double Board Certified podiatric surgeon specializing in pediatric and adult foot and ankle deformities. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Abawi has served Marylanders at a level one trauma center and performed thousands of foot and ankle procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her extensive experience spans pediatric, adult, and limb salvage cases, necessitating both conservative and surgical interventions.
Nationally recognized for her comprehensive approach to minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Abawi is one of the first female foot and ankle surgeons on the East Coast to provide minimally invasive bunion and hammertoe surgeries. Her specialized training allows her to offer comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses both symptoms and underlying causes of acquired or congenital deformities. She is passionate about utilizing data-driven solutions and best practices to achieve optimal recovery outcomes for her patients.
